Once in a while a new name comes along in the world of drummers. Usually it doesn't mean that much. Then you keep hearing the name. And perhaps one day you have the opportunity to see that drummer in concert or at a clinic and then you get what all the fuss is about. Let me introduce you to Hannah Ford. Before this show I had never even heard of Hannah. I saw the promo pic on Rob's site and I had that felling, you know - that something was up. A young drummer - a girl no less - performing a clinic at a vintage show? Yeah, something was up. Hannah, who celebrated her prom the night before - gave an absolutely flawless performance in front a what I would call a very open-minded but tough audience. With shades of Cindy Blackman coming through loud and clear she never faltered once - she was all business, and apparently, business is dam good.
Little Miss, Little Miss, Little Miss Confidence! I couldn't help but feel a little proud of her.
I think we'll all keep hearing her name.

Any, um...questions? |

If you can't pick up on the confidence thing in this shot, you're missing something. Nice piece of work Sistah. |

HillBilly Drums and Stellar Drums shared a booth. I was impressed with the quality and the workmanship. That's Kurt in the background working on a project kit.

Very cool custom paint work |

In spite of the quality of the clinican roster this year there were some equally good players attending the shows. I caught a few seconds of this unidentified young drummer doing a pretty dam good Buddy routine.
